LAC LA BICHE REGION
Community Futures Lac la Biche has championed marketing and promoting the Lac La Biche Region for decades. This work contributes to the community’s economic development by helping entrepreneurs in the tourism sector develop and enhance their tourism projects and products within the region. The Lac La Biche Region is found on several social media platforms including: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Google+.
Annually, visitors come to our pristine surroundings for camping, boating, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, cross country skiing, archery, and many other outdoor activities year round. No matter what the weather is, there are activities for outdoor enthusiasts to get out and enjoy the sun, mud, or snow. With more than 100 lakes and over 1,300 beach-side campsites and cabins, offering 70% of Alberta’s Class A beaches, the Lac la Biche Region is Naturally Rich. With a variety of lakes in our region, there is enough surface area for those looking to hit the waves for some fast-paced water sports, or reconnect with nature during a tranquil paddle in the back-country of Lakeland Provincial Park. For cultural explorers there is always something new to discover. Our region takes pride in its cultural diversity, celebrating it through various activities and festivals throughout the year with several rodeos, pow wows, and community gatherings featuring our culinary backgrounds and performing arts.
